Oregon announces state agency closure dates

Due to a reduction in state revenues, the Oregon Legislature has made cuts in agency budgets, resulting in the closure of state agencies on certain days. State workers affected by the closures will take unpaid furloughs on those days. We apologize for any inconvenience these closures might cause, and we look forward to restoration of a full work schedule for all state agencies when the economy improves.

Most agencies and programs will be closed on ten specific days during the biennium. Those closure days are: in 2009, Friday, October 16, 2009 and Friday, November 27, 2009; in 2010, Friday, March 19, 2010, Friday, April 16, 2010, Friday, June 18, 2010, Friday, August 20, 2010, Friday, September 17, 2010, Friday, and November 26, 2010; in 2011, Friday, March 18, 2011, and Friday, May 20, 2011.
